‘I can’t say enough about the Mastersbilt (by Huey) Chassis we
had this season,’ Copeman said.
‘Huey Wilcoxson and everyone at Mastersbilt have been
great to work with and have been a huge help to us all season.
I need to thank the My dad Rich,
Chuck Anthony, and the crew for all of their help
throughout this season.
I also need to thank all of our sponsors, Townsend Gas &
Oil, American Racer, Lias Tire, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports
Media, Edge Racing Engines, and again Mastersbilt (by Huey) Race

events during the 2011 season with an astounding 25 top ten
finishes giving Clate a top ten finished 86% of the time.
Copeman also had 18 top five finishes giving him top five
finishes over in over half of his 2011 starts.
‘2011 was a pretty good season for us,’ Copeman exclaimed, ‘and
hopefully we can build from it in 2012.
We’d like to do a little more as far as traveling goes
but, just like every other racer, it’s hard without the
financial support.
We’ll still try to hit a few more specials in the region like
we’ve done the past few years, Clate said, ‘but for the most
part, as of now, we’re going to do what we’ve done for the past
few seasons except you’ll probably see us at Lernerville
Speedway a lot more on Friday nights.’

| Clate Copeman from Greensburg won the Lias Tire Late Model
Season Championship. Copeman took advantage of an opportunity
late in the twenty-five-lap feature to pass the leader, Wally
Fox of Cooperstown. Fox took the lead away from Chad Helman
earlier in the race and was trying to keep Copeman behind him.
But Copeman made a good pass after twenty laps were recorded to
secure the lead and went to win the Butler Auto Supply Season
Championship. Fox finished second and Jim Detman of Leechburg
who started on the pole took third. George Lee from Loudonville,
OH came to the track for the first time this season and secured
fourth place with Jerry Redden from Mahaffey in fifth. Sixth
place went to Dave Blazavich and he was followed by Matt Gaston,
Rod Phillips, Bryan Force, and Derek Rodkey for the top ten. The
rest of the field finished in this order: Rick Davis, Chad
Helman, Billy Eash, John Kitz, Phil Thornton and Jim Kurpakus.
The preliminary heat races for the Lias Tire Late Models were
